Experimental study on vibrational characteristics of mounts subjected to compressive strains

This project aims to make an active type anti vibration mount by finding the changes in vibrational characteristics of anti vibration mount under compressive strain. The objective is to find the change in stiffness of mount under compression and also find that change in stiffness effecting its transmissibility. Vibration Simulator setup in our lab is being utilized to carryout the experiments on the vibration mounts.

Comparative study of vibration damping characteristics of cantilever beams

Free layer and Constrained layer damping of Structural steel, Aluminium and bronze with viscoelastic material (XNBR) is analyzed and simulated. The analytical results are validated through experimental methods using Vibration Shaker setup in the Vibrations Lab.
